Today’s bike ride lasted all of 30 seconds and was about 50 yards long. Maximum speed was 5 mph with a total climb of about 2 feet! The ride was round the bottom of my culdesac This, by the way, is not my new fitness regime but the result of another 6 inches of snow on top of sheet ice. I did try a ride through the week one night, but after going sideways more times than forwards I decided that as the local hospitals are full to overflowing with casualties of the icy conditions it was better to call it off. Roll on the spring!
